Set the Trumpet to Thy Mouth (1985) by David Wilkerson is a prophetic warning book in which Wilkerson declares that God will soon judge and destroy America by fire (specifically a nuclear/hydrogen attack) because the nation has turned away from Him and will not repent.

Drawing on Hosea 8:1 as its title verse, the book argues that America is the modern "Babylon" of Revelation and that sudden, total destruction is imminent. Wilkerson catalogs the sins he believes will bring judgment: moral decay (adultery, fornication, divorce), the acceptance of "devil's music" in churches, prosperity preaching, occult practices, pornography, drug abuse, and the church's general lukewarmness and compromise. Beyond the warning, the book is also a call to repentance — urging believers to forsake sin, return to God with whole hearts, and live in holiness before judgment arrives.
