Giving and Living: Foundations for Christian Stewardship by Samuel Young (Very Good, 1974, Pbk, 94 pgs, Beacon Hill Press)

Cover and pages have light wear; pages are unmarked.

A lifelong study of the Bible and broad theological training combine with many years of leadership experience to make Giving and Living a true theology of stewardship. Dr. Young is not satisfied to rest his case on custom or tradition. He drives back to the sources of "giving and living" in the Word of God. The whole New Testament message of grace underlines the conclusion that Old Testament teachings about tithing are a floor for the Christian, not a ceiling.

All through these pages is the emphasis on the lordship of Christ in all of life. One who truly says, "Jesus is Lord," cannot say no in any area of his living, whether it be "time, treasure, or talent".
